About the role#
This is a part-time student position within the Supply Chain Planning team at Cummins Inc. You will work on-site in Columbus, Indiana. The role is capped at 19 hours per week, averaging just under four hours per day. You must provide your own transportation to and from the office.
What you'll do#
- Learn core supply chain operations and help with daily business tasks.
- Support order lifecycle management for the North America Order Management Team.
- Gather and analyze data from various sites to help inform decisions.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records.
- Create training materials to help keep processes consistent.
- Identify trends and opportunities using data.
- Balance the needs of multiple stakeholders across different business divisions.
- Collaborate with teams to meet operational goals.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 16 years old and currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary school.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A willingness to learn new skills.
- Previous customer service or support experience is preferred.
