About the role#
MAHLE is hiring an Engineering Intern for the Electronic Controls team in Russellville, Arkansas. This is a paid, on-site internship for Summer 2026. You will work 20-25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Help design and troubleshoot electronic circuits, electrical control cabinets, and integrated PLC/CNC systems.
- Analyze operational problems and develop modifications in design or programming to improve efficiency.
- Maintain machine software, backups, and electrical maintenance routines.
- Assist with training on installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Update documentation for maintenance procedures.
- Support process improvements and cost reduction projects.
- Participate in or lead problem-solving activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year engineering program in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- You should be 1-2 years away from graduation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with design and drafting software, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with PLC/HMI programming software like Siemens, Fanuc, or Allen Bradley.
- Experience with software development tools like C++, Visual Studio, or Basic.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machine prints.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to work.
- Hands-on experience with engines and machining is a plus.
