About the role#
Magna International is seeking a Recruiting Intern to support high-volume production hiring at our automotive manufacturing site in Clinton, Tennessee. This role offers hands-on experience in human resources and talent acquisition. You will work directly with our team to manage the full cycle of recruiting for hourly positions.
What you'll do#
- Post job openings on internal and external boards.
- Screen resumes and applications for hourly roles.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Communicate with applicants regarding their status and next steps.
- Support sourcing efforts through career fairs and job boards.
- Maintain candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Assist with onboarding, including pre-employment documentation and new hire communication.
- Track recruiting metrics like time-to-fill and applicant flow.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure efficient hiring processes.
- Support employer branding and recruiting events.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
- Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and IATF system requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in recruiting or HR within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
- Strong communication skills to interact with candidates and employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Basic understanding of HR principles and employment practices is preferred.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems or previous professional internships is a plus.
