Victory Lap + Side Piece Pies Social Media & Events Intern

About the role#

This internship supports the marketing and social media efforts for Victory Lap West Campus, Victory Lap Rainey, and Side Piece Pies. You will serve as a boots-on-the-ground representative, capturing the energy of game days, watch parties, and nightlife events in Austin. This role requires a blend of creative content production and event coordination to build brand awareness across these hospitality locations.

What you'll do#

• Create, design, and manage engaging social media content across all brand platforms.
• Develop and maintain monthly content calendars to streamline scheduling.
• Attend and cover sporting events, activations, and watch parties to capture real-time photo and video content.
• Edit and produce media using tools such as iPhone, CapCut, Canva, and Instagram creative features.
• Support the planning and execution of high-energy events and promotions.
• Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages.
• Track performance metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and event attendance.
• Collaborate with onsite staff to ensure marketing initiatives align with brand goals.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Journalism, Public Relations, Sports Management, or Photography.
• Proficiency in iPhone photography and video editing using platforms like CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere.
• Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva.
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok trends and social media mechanics.
• Excellent command of the English language, including proper grammar and usage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• High energy with the ability to thrive in loud, active event environments.

Location & details#

• Location: Austin, Texas.
• Term: Summer 2026 (May 2026 to August 2026).
• Work Modality: Hybrid.
• Commitment: Part-time, approximately 20–30 hours per week.
• Schedule: Flexibility required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to cover game days and events.
