About the role#
The Technology Portfolio Management Office at Live Oak Bank manages the delivery of new technology and business process improvements. As an intern, you will work alongside project managers on active projects. You will support teams, coordinate delivery activities, and observe how technology moves from an initial idea to customer impact. You will also own a summer capstone project, which you will present to Technology leadership at the end of the program. You will receive mentorship from an experienced project manager and have a peer buddy for daily support.

- Support the coordination of people, processes, and technology to deliver project goals.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and coordinate the delivery of technology increments.
- Contribute ideas to improve and optimize internal processes.
- Identify, explore, and resolve problems in collaboration with your team.
- Communicate and collaborate with project team members.
- Build and nurture professional working relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program.
- Coursework, campus involvement, or prior experience in project management, business, information systems, or a related field.
- Interest in project management and agile best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, manage time, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for technology and innovation.
- Experience with SmartSheet, Jira, Confluence, or Office 365 is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site internship located in Wilmington, North Carolina.
- The program runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027, from May 17 to July 23.
- This is a paid, part-time position.
