About the role#
As a Radiology Extern at Valley View Medical Center, you will support our imaging team in providing care to the Fort Mohave community. This is a per diem, on-site role for students looking to gain clinical experience in a hospital setting.
What you'll do#
- Perform imaging procedures following established standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physician orders before exams.
- Educate patients on equipment and procedures to ensure they feel comfortable and informed.
- Assist staff with imaging exams across multiple modalities.
- Prepare necessary equipment and supplies for diagnostic sessions.
- Perform clerical tasks and assist with patient transport.
What you'll need#
- You must be a second year student in a relevant program of study.
- A current Radiation Operator license from the state board of radiology.
- Ability to obtain AART certification within twelve months of graduation.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
