About the role#
This position supports the Office of Spiritual Development by managing social media platforms and assisting with administrative tasks for LU Serve. You will work 16 to 20 hours per week in an on-site office setting. This is a paid, part-time student worker role.
What you'll do#
- Create, schedule, and post content for LU Serve social media channels while maintaining brand standards.
- Develop digital marketing plans and social media strategies in collaboration with the Associate Director of Development.
- Maintain a social media calendar to ensure timely content delivery.
- Attend, promote, and cover events outside of normal office hours, including taking photos and videos.
- Assist with the logistics, planning, and execution of events such as Serve Lynchburg and the CSER Expo.
- Track engagement metrics for digital campaigns and report outcomes.
- Use software like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite to support team needs.
- Assist the Administrative Assistant with general office duties.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to provide quality customer service.
- Capability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant academic background in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Media Studies.
