About the role#
Deriva Energy is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to join our Communications team. This role reports to the Director of External Affairs and provides hands-on experience with content development, social media management, and marketing analytics. You will contribute to our digital presence and help share our work in the renewable energy industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across our owned channels.
- Draft and schedule content for social media, email newsletters, and the company website.
- Write blog posts, articles, and social copy.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent messaging.
- Track and report on digital performance metrics like website traffic and social engagement.
- Create multimedia assets including graphics and presentations.
- Assist with website updates and SEO practices.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, public relations, or a related field.
- A strong interest in digital marketing, content creation, or renewable energy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exposure to design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite and social media scheduling platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- This role is based at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- We operate in a hybrid work environment.
- This is a paid, part-time internship requiring approximately 15 to 20 hours per week.
- The schedule is flexible to accommodate academic commitments.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
