About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Fort Pierce, Florida. This role offers hands-on training in mechanical, HVAC, and energy design. You will work alongside professional engineers to develop building systems and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Produce detailed layouts and equipment details for HVAC systems.
- Create one-line diagrams and schematics.
- Assist the design team in assembling organized drawing sets.
- Help with data collection and field verification tasks.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop various aspects of a project.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably as a sophomore or junior.
- A strong interest in building systems mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.
- AutoCAD and Revit experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
