About the role#
Legence is hiring a Construction Management Intern or Co-op for the Summer 2027 term. This role provides hands-on experience in construction management, project coordination, and fieldwork within the commercial HVAC and mechanical systems industry. You will work alongside experienced construction managers and engineers to support the execution of projects.
What you'll do#
- Review project drawings to evaluate scope, constructability, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with project scheduling and the coordination of subcontractors.
- Prepare weekly field reports to track site conditions and overall progress.
- Gather and organize equipment submittals from various vendors.
- Develop and organize project closeout materials, such as as-built documentation and O&M manuals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- A basic understanding of construction processes and mechanical or HVAC systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Compensation: This is a paid position.
