About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Melville, New York. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers on active land development and wastewater projects. This role focuses on building technical confidence and gaining an understanding of how engineering solutions move from design to construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist with site and wastewater system design, including pump stations and collection systems.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare concept plans, grading plans, and utility layouts.
- Research zoning ordinances and local regulations to support project permitting.
- Participate in field visits to observe how designs are constructed.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to solve project challenges.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A strong interest in wastewater or land development design.
- Effective communication skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude.
