About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Frisco, Texas office. This role offers an opportunity to gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering and site design firm. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Learn the stages of the land development and site design process from concept to construction.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design concept plans, grading plans, stormwater management plans, utility system plans, and soil erosion and sediment control plans.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate and drive projects forward.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Observe field conditions and participate in team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biomedical, or Biosystems Engineering.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred, though training is provided for those who are not yet proficient.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn in a team-oriented environment.
