The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law offers non-legal internships designed to support racial justice initiatives. Interns contribute to meaningful projects while gaining professional experience and mentorship. This role is part-time, requiring 10 to 15 hours per week for students with a full course load, or 20 hours per week for those without.
What you'll do#
Interns support various departments, including the Executive Office, Communications, Human Resources, Operations, and Information Technology. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting research on assigned topics and projects.
- Gathering information for reports and presentations.
- Providing general administrative support, including filing and organizing documents.
- Scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of projects.
- Collaborating with team members on cross-functional initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate college or university.
- Strong administrative and project management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated passion for civil rights.
- Preferred majors include Political Science, Human Resources, Communications, Sociology, or History.

- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 21, 2026 – December 4, 2026).
- Compensation: $500 stipend.
