The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law offers legal internships to support racial justice advocacy. This role provides students with professional development and the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within departments such as Digital Justice, Economic Justice, Fair Housing, Educational Opportunities, Voting Rights, and Public Policy.
What you'll do#
Interns work under the supervision of attorneys to support legal operations and advocacy efforts. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research and analyzing legal issues.
- Drafting legal documents and summarizing findings or recommendations.
- Organizing case files and maintaining documentation.
- Communicating with clients under attorney supervision.
- Providing administrative support to legal staff.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in law school.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- A demonstrated passion for civil rights and public service.
- Ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Term: September 21, 2026 – December 4, 2026.
- Modality: Hybrid (option to work in-office or remotely).
- Commitment: Part-time (10–15 hours per week for students with a full course load; 20 hours per week otherwise).
- Compensation: $500 stipend.
