About the role#
This Law Clerk internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance law. You will work directly with attorneys and paralegals on active legal matters, contributing to the litigation process while developing your professional skills. This is a paid, on-site role for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist attorneys with drafting discovery responses and reporting to claims departments.
- Prepare materials for mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
- Draft pleadings and process case closures.
- Gather necessary documents and information while connecting with clients.
- Perform legal research to support ongoing litigation.
- Collaborate with managers, fellow team members, and senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year law student at an ABA-approved law school (or 4th year if in a part-time or JD/MBA program).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in civil litigation and insurance law.
