About the role#
The 2027 Summer Claims Adjuster Internship is a 10-week, full-time, paid program based in Dubuque, Iowa. This position offers hands-on experience in the insurance industry, focusing on client service and claims management. Interns will work directly with clients, including CEOs, attorneys, and providers, while gaining exposure to the responsibilities of a full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Manage client claims by investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling cases efficiently.
- Build and maintain client relationships through timely execution of requests and attention to detail.
- Identify pressing client issues and collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategic solutions.
- Participate in networking events and social activities to build connections with industry professionals and fellow interns.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of client management strategies within the insurance brokerage sector.
What you'll need#
- A history of academic or extracurricular excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-motivated drive to succeed and a willingness to learn new challenges.
- The ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Open to students from various academic backgrounds, including Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, and Criminal Justice.

- Compensation: Paid internship with bonus opportunity and provided apartment-style housing.
