About the role#
Cottingham & Butler is seeking interns for our 2027 Summer Sales Internship Program. This 10-week paid opportunity provides hands-on experience in the insurance brokerage industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, build your network, and develop core sales skills.
What you'll do#
- Cold call potential clients to introduce our services and identify insurance needs.
- Attend client meetings with sales professionals to observe and participate in discussions.
- Research market trends and competitor activities to build industry knowledge.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Participate in training sessions to improve your sales techniques and product knowledge.
What you'll need#
- A history of academic or extracurricular excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A self-motivated personality with a drive to succeed.
- The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- We accept applicants from majors including Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, and Finance.

- This is a full-time, on-site internship based in Dubuque, Iowa.
- The program runs from May 18, 2027, to July 23, 2027.
