About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 season. You will join our claims team to learn how we provide financial security to individuals and businesses after a loss.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and assemble facts to determine policy coverage and analyze legal liability.
- Evaluate the amount of loss and decide to pay or deny claims.
- Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to understand our coverage.
- Work toward claim resolution, which may include attending arbitrations, mediations, or trials.
- Ensure claims payments are issued accurately and on time.
- Handle investigations through phone, mail, and on-site visits.
- Service the needs of agents and policyholders.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled in college and entering your junior or senior year.
- You are pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Criminal Justice.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You can organize and interpret data.
- You are able to resolve complex issues and manage multiple assignments at once.
- You must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
