About the role#
The Law Clerk Intern program provides students with practical experience in civil litigation. Interns work alongside attorneys and paralegals to gain exposure to the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation. This position offers opportunities for professional development through mentorship, collaboration with legal teams, and interaction with senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist attorneys with drafting discovery responses and reporting to claims.
- Prepare for mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings.
- Draft pleadings and communicate directly with clients.
- Gather necessary documentation and information to process case closures.
- Conduct legal research as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year law student in an ABA-approved law school (or 4th year if in a part-time or JD/MBA program).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance law.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build professional relationships.
- Self-directed work ethic with the ability to manage tasks independently.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: This position is primarily remote, though it may require attendance at the Alpharetta, Georgia office approximately once per month.
- Status: This is a paid, full-time internship.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
