About the role#
This internship supports purchasing and sourcing activities at L3Harris Technologies. You will assist with supplier pricing, material procurement, and order coordination to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. The role involves working with internal teams and external suppliers to manage procurement processes while following regulatory guidelines.
What you'll do#
- Submit RFQs to suppliers to develop pricing for consolidated material lists.
- Procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services.
- Negotiate price, delivery, and quality of products with suppliers.
- Track purchase orders through reports and resolve discrepancies regarding receiving, returns, or problem reports.
- Interface with receiving and accounting departments to fix issues.
- Confer with suppliers to determine factors that affect the total cost of ownership.
- Interpret FAR, DFAR, and ITAR regulations related to import and export controls.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a bachelor or master degree in supply chain management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
- Experience with Six Sigma or other lean methodologies is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
