About the role#
The Space Operations Engineering Intern provides technical support to engineering teams working on the development, integration, and testing of complex systems. You will work across the program lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design support, and test execution. This position offers hands-on experience in applying engineering principles and problem-solving skills.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of operational analyses and concept of operations documentation.
- Assist with design and implementation planning for system and subsystem activities.
- Help create test plans, procedures, and test cases for verification and validation.
- Participate in laboratory, system, or field testing and document the results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, software, hardware, and project engineering.
- Assist in the development of checklists, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in Space Operations Command and Control activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Systems Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
- Experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK).
- Prior experience through internships, academic projects, laboratory work, or team-based engineering tasks.

- Location: Palm Bay, Florida.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Employment type: Full-time.
