About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Melbourne, Florida. You will work on-site as part of our engineering team. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over nine days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to develop software.
- Build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software systems.
- Help define operational performance requirements and system designs.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from initial requirements to final testing.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data and run experimental tests.
- Join peer reviews to find, track, and fix software defects.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with languages and technologies such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, and Embedded Systems.
