About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on the development of embedded software for tactical radio equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and test systems that bridge hardware and software requirements. This position involves working with various programming languages and operating systems to support real-time control applications.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software components.
- Participate in all phases of the software and firmware development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct experiments, and evaluate results.
- Identify, track, and repair defects through peer reviews and testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of time domain versus frequency domain analysis, filter structures, and modulation/coding algorithms.
- Experience with software development life cycle processes.
- Proficiency in languages such as C, C++, and VHDL, along with scripting languages.
