About the role#
This is an internship focused on project and component engineering for rocket propulsion hardware. You will work at our Canoga Park, California facility. This site designs and builds engines and power systems for programs including NASA’s SLS, the THAAD missile defense system, the Dream Chaser spacecraft, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.
What you'll do#
- Perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects.
- Support senior engineering staff with daily operations.
- Assist in the design and development of rocket propulsion hardware.
- Provide technical support for combustion devices, turbopumps, small thrusters, valves, actuators, and systems hardware.
- Gain experience and familiarization with ongoing company projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar major.
- Must be returning to school after the internship ends.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Location & details#
- Location: Canoga Park, California.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- Compensation: $25 to $47.50 per hour.
