About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in program management within the national security and space sector. You will work with the Program Management team to support the IPPT Business Area.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with staff to finalize project plan presentations.
- Establish timelines, deadlines, and schedule meetings.
- Organize and maintain project documentation.
- Participate in program meetings and help prepare supporting materials.
- Process staff expense reports and resolve related issues.
- Assist with special projects across functional areas.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Earned Value Management and Government FARs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence, a self-starter mindset, and a willingness to learn new tools.
Location & details#
- Location: Rochester, New York.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, totaling 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
