About the role#
As a Supply Chain Management Intern, you will work with the L3Harris Maritime team in Northampton. You will support a cross-functional group to build supply chain strategies and material execution plans for assigned programs. This role involves acting as a point of contact for the program office, engineering, quality, finance, contracts, and operations teams.
What you'll do#
- Develop the Material Management Plan and execute supply chain strategies throughout the program lifecycle.
- Partner with engineering, quality, and operations to build a schedule-based Material Requirements Plan.
- Support financial budgets and forecasts for assigned programs, including variance explanations.
- Coordinate subcontract involvement by reviewing Supplier Statements of Work.
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify and address challenged areas.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding materials and subcontracts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or business administration.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 Hanna.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Northampton, Massachusetts.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period, providing every other Friday off.
