About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Canoga Park, California. You will work on-site as part of our mechanical engineering team. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development projects.
- Assist with factory support for existing products.
- Work with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
- Generate and process engineering change orders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to apply principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities.
- Familiarity with finite element methods, fatigue, and damage tolerance principles.
- Exposure to CAD or analysis tools like FEA is preferred.
