About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering interns for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and involves working with our Mission Systems sector. You will join our BaPS division to contribute to mission-enabling solutions for global security.
What you'll do#
- Participate in an internship program designed to build new skills and explore our enterprise.
- Network with experts and thought leaders within the company.
- Collaborate on projects that support global security solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Enrollment as a full-time student for the Fall 2027 semester.
- A major in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access (U.S. citizenship is required).
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher, previous internship or co-op experience, and leadership or teamwork capabilities.
- Familiarity with standard engineering drawing conventions and foundational knowledge of aviation, specifically fixed wing turbine aircraft, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to a safe work culture are preferred.
