About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will focus on improving systems and processes to increase effectiveness. You will work under general supervision to solve problems and contribute to operational targets for specific programs. This role involves managing projects and communicating operational procedures to contacts both inside and outside your department.
What you'll do#
- Recommend and implement enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Solve problems by drawing on prior experience and analyzing issues.
- Manage projects or processes with general supervision.
- Communicate operational practices to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Experience with soldering or basic electronic manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with basic CAD software.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification is preferred.

- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 4/10 shift, Monday through Thursday.
- Status: Full-time paid internship.
