About the role#
As a Project Engineer Intern, you will handle the day-to-day tactical duties for assigned programs. You will coordinate the cost, schedule, and technical aspects of engineering projects while working within established guidelines. This role acts as a bridge between the engineering project team, planning, and line management.
What you'll do#
- Oversee and coordinate project costs, schedules, and technical requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project management and internal teams.
- Review project status and budgets to prepare regular reports.
- Develop methods to monitor project progress and address issues.
- Coordinate with resource managers to ensure all necessary reviews and approvals occur.
- Assess project performance to help improve future missions and programs.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, Environmental, Chemical, or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Ability to create systems for tracking project progress and solving problems.
Location & details#
- Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship with rolling start dates.
