About the role#
KPMG Canada is hiring an intern for the Governance, Risk and Compliance Services team. This role is based in Montreal for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site as part of an experienced team to support projects related to internal controls and audits.
What you'll do#
- Assist and lead the planning and execution of projects in internal controls over financial reporting and internal audits.
- Evaluate the design and operational effectiveness of internal controls and business processes.
- Share business expertise through emails, reports, and direct conversations.
- Conduct client interviews and analyze project documents and data.
- Facilitate workshops and perform research and benchmarking tasks.
What you'll need#
- An excellent academic record in Accounting, Audit, Data Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technology field.
- A strong record of extracurricular involvement.
- Verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, as the role requires regular documentation and communication in both languages.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
- Experience with accounting, internal controls, or drafting reports is considered an asset.
