About the role#
KPMG Canada is seeking undergraduate students for the Deal Advisory, Valuations - Dispute Advisory Services practice. This position is available as a Summer or Fall 2027 internship or co-op. You will join a team of over 100 valuation professionals to assist clients in managing and resolving commercial and personal disputes. This role provides exposure to a variety of industries and the opportunity to build professional networks while gaining experience in valuation principles.
What you'll do#
- Prepare for file execution by meeting with clients and analyzing information, including business plans, financial statements, and various agreements.
- Conduct industry and economic research to inform model assumptions.
- Prepare financial analyses using Excel, Capital IQ, and Bloomberg to build valuation models.
- Write and edit expert reports, valuation reports, and memoranda, including creating visuals and summarizing conclusions.
- Meet with clients to communicate processes and results.
What you'll need#
- Quantitative skills demonstrated through a degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematical Finance, Mathematics, or an equivalent field.
- A strong interest in valuation principles and techniques.
- Effective writing and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A willingness to enroll in the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) program.
