About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring a Transportation Planning Intern to join our Transit team in Rockville, Maryland. This is a full-time, paid internship that requires you to work on-site at our office.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for various projects.
- Solve complex problems and assist project managers with daily tasks.
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines.
- Learn federal, state, and local regulations along with our internal standards.
- Evaluate development proposals to check for zoning compliance.
- Prepare land use and planning studies.
- Coordinate tasks with municipal and state agencies.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters program.
- Relevant majors include City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or other related fields.
