About the role#
Kimley-Horn is hiring an Environmental Science Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Reston, Virginia office. You will work on-site to assist project managers and solve technical problems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members across different disciplines to help realize client projects.
- Learn about federal, state, and local regulations relevant to our work.
- Gain practical experience with natural resource regulations, water quality programs, and wetlands identification.
- Spend time in the field, as travel and fieldwork make up 10-30% of the role.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program for Biology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in ecology, wildlife biology, water resources, or geographic information systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Reston, Virginia.

- Pay: $29 to $30 per hour.
