About the role#
Fishbeck is hiring an Environmental Engineering or Geology Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the GeoSciences and Remediation team to gain hands-on experience in both field and office settings. This is a full-time position where you will assist engineers and geologists on various consulting projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect groundwater, surface water, soil, and vapor samples in diverse field settings throughout Michigan.
- Analyze field data to support project decisions.
- Assist in drafting environmental reports.
- Collaborate with team members on consulting projects.
- Participate in site visits to gather real-world experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related program.
- A curious, analytical mindset.
- Ability to work independently and ask thoughtful questions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Previous field or lab experience is a plus.
