About the role#
An Overseas Intern works in our schools, care centers, or residential homes to support vulnerable children. You will use your personal gifts and skills to serve the needs of the ministry. This is a full-time, unpaid internship that requires the individual to raise funds for their expenses.
What you'll do#
- Tutor children in math, English, language, reading, and writing.
- Lead or assist with classes in art, music, dance, preschool, or math.
- Facilitate or help with Bible studies, Awana groups, spiritual mentor groups, devotions, Vacation Bible School, and Christian Camps.
- Lead sports clinics and participate in intern small group devotions.
- Assist staff with general house chores, including cooking, cleaning, and facility care.
- Support Student Champions, GO! Teams, and other related projects.
- Provide administrative assistance in ministry offices.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with and providing leadership to children.
- A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with our Statement of Faith.
- Active participation in a community of faith and a strong Christian witness.
- Ability to initiate personal spiritual growth and handle spiritual battles.
- Emotional maturity, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to resolve conflict.
- Physical fitness to handle manual labor, long periods of standing, and local climates.
- Ability to adapt to living in an under-resourced country, including managing stress, language barriers, and cultural differences.
- Strong self-management, hygiene, and a humble willingness to work under authority.
- Flexibility regarding schedules, tasks, and locations.

- The position is remote in nature, full-time, and temporary.
