About the role#
This internship position supports vulnerable children in our schools, care centers, and residential homes. As an intern, you will serve the needs of the ministry by applying your personal gifts and skills. Please note that this is an unpaid position, and you are responsible for raising funds for your expenses.
What you'll do#
- Tutor children in English, math, language, reading, and writing.
- Lead or assist in teaching math, English, art, music, dance, or preschool classes.
- Lead or help with Awana groups, Bible studies, spiritual mentor groups, devotions, Vacation Bible School, or Christian Camps.
- Participate in intern small group devotions.
- Lead sport clinics.
- Help staff with house chores, including cooking, cleaning, and general care of facilities.
- Work with Student Champions, GO! Teams, and related projects.
- Provide administrative assistance in ministry offices.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and have experience leading children.
- You must agree with our Statement of Faith and have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- We look for a strong, effective, and fruitful Christian witness who participates in a community of faith.
- You should be equipped to handle spiritual battles and initiate personal spiritual growth.
- You must be physically fit to adapt to the climate and perform manual labor, including standing and walking for long periods.
- You need strong self-management skills and good hygiene.
- You must be flexible with time, schedules, and location of service.
- You should be able to communicate well, resolve conflicts, and work under authority.
- You need emotional maturity and high emotional intelligence to adapt to the challenges of living in an under-resourced country.

- This is a full-time, remote position based in Peru.
- The term is rolling.
