About the role#
KENT WORLDWIDE is hiring a Division Engineer Intern to support the Operations division at Grain Processing Corporation. This role provides technical and engineering assistance for various manufacturing processes. You will work on-site at our Muscatine, Iowa facility for the Summer 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Manage capital and expense projects from the initial concept through to production. This includes preparing financial justifications, purchasing materials, tracking budgets, and overseeing installation.
- Initiate process and equipment modifications to improve safety, energy conservation, and overall profitability.
- Monitor equipment downtime records to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
- Work directly with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve process problems.
- Develop training documentation for maintenance and operators, and lead initial training sessions for production staff.
- Represent the Production Department in meetings regarding new installations or process changes.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemical, Electrical, Agricultural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize your workload.
- Previous experience in a corn wet milling or similar industrial process is a plus, as is prior internship experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Travel: Limited travel, up to 10%, may be required for training or business needs.
