About the role#
We are looking for an RF Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside our engineers to analyze, test, and measure radiofrequency and microwave electronics for our satellite platforms. This is a hands-on role where you will gain exposure to satellite subsystems and collaborate with mentors to execute technical projects.
What you'll do#
- Operate antenna measurement assets, including anechoic chambers and near field scanners.
- Qualify radiofrequency and antenna hardware through environmental testing, such as vibration, shock, thermal, and TVAC testing.
- Assist with design, analysis, and validation testing for hardware ranging from UHF 200 MHz to Ka band 31 GHz.
- Perform development and production tests to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate design, test, and analysis into the broader spacecraft system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in electrical engineering or a related STEM discipline.
- At least 6 months of technical engineering experience outside of the classroom, such as research, extracurricular projects, or prior internships.
- Ability to work on-site at our headquarters in Torrance for a minimum of 12 weeks.
