About the role#
This position is a DoD SkillBridge internship opportunity for active-duty military personnel. As a Junior Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects. This role is based in New York, NY, and requires an on-site presence.
What you'll do#
- Support the estimating team in the preparation of accurate construction project estimates.
- Review project drawings and specifications.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and assist with scope comparisons.
- Provide support during the bid submission process.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated interest in construction management or the construction industry.
- Current active-duty military status with at least 180 days of service completed.
- Expected honorable discharge.
- Completion of the Transition Assistance Program (TAP/TGPS).
- Written authorization from your Unit Commander to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with Microsoft Project and Procore is preferred.
- Academic background in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Logistics, Real Estate, Economics, or Environmental Engineering.
