About the role#
This is a year-round, part-time student position within the Engine Application Engineering team for JD Power Systems. You will work alongside full-time staff to support industrial and marine engine applications. This role is on-site in Waterloo, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Assist Engine Application Engineers with technical projects.
- Build and maintain project management tools, including PowerBI reports and SharePoint sites.
- Develop software and scripts to support engineering workflows.
- Manage database queries and web-based application development.
- Execute data automation tasks to improve team efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited university or college.
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C+.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Ability to work 30-40 hours per week during the summer semester.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
