About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. This role involves working across the full development life cycle, from initial requirements analysis to final testing. You will work with cross functional engineering teams to build and evaluate hardware and software interfaces.
What you'll do#
- Apply principles from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to software development.
- Develop and evaluate system performance requirements and design.
- Write software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to conduct experimental tests and establish operating data.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify and fix software defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C, Java, Python, and SQL across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
Location & details#
- Location: Rochester, New York.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Salary: $24 to $46 per hour.
