About the role#
This 16-month co-op position supports the Infrastructure & Security manager for Canada. You will provide direct embedded support within the Engineering department at the WESCAM division. You will manage diverse support demands and focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and support Linux endpoints to ensure performance and security.
- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management.
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers for various services.
- Provide administration and support for Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Plan and execute small upgrade projects.
- Resolve technical issues and respond to user inquiries.
- Communicate project updates and documentation to team members and customers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a co-op program at an accredited university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to complete a 16-month term starting May 2026.
- Ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.
- Proficiency in Linux endpoint management and command-line tools.
- Experience with Ansible, Docker, and Atlassian tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Scripting experience in Bash or Python and knowledge of cybersecurity best practices are assets.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE are considered a plus.

- Compensation: $23 per hour.
