About the role#
As a Business Development Intern, you will join the Public Institutions Business Development Team. This role provides exposure to strategic business development processes, analytical problem-solving, and client engagement within the commercial real estate industry. You will work alongside real estate analysts, transaction professionals, and other associates to gain insight into various lines of business.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and track real estate opportunities across federal, state, local, K-12, higher education, and aerospace and defense sectors.
- Support the collection and analysis of client data.
- Assist with thought leadership initiatives through research and presentation development.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Solutions Development, and Account Teams to execute strategies set by Managing Directors.
- Conduct research to identify key contacts for government agencies and perform prospect outreach.
- Coordinate meetings and participate in client engagement activities.
- Update and maintain Salesforce tracking systems.
- Assist with marketing presentations, templates, client deliverables, and market updates.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree with 2-3 years completed.
- Major in Business, Real Estate, Operations Management, Professional Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Permanent US work authorization. Note that visa sponsorship is not provided.
