About the role#
The Human Resources Co-op Student supports the administration and coordination of daily HR activities. This position focuses on improving HR processes while providing hands-on experience in operations and organizational development. You will work under the guidance of the HR Manager and HR Coordinator.
What you'll do#
- Support core HR processes including onboarding, off-boarding, and scholarship programs.
- Identify and develop process improvements and create new work instructions.
- Perform routine transactions in the HR system for job changes and terminations.
- Run regular and ad-hoc HR reports as needed.
- Own, complete, and present a term-length project.
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and events.
- Draft and send organizational announcements regarding arrivals, transfers, and company initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a College or Bachelor’s degree program for Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Good academic standing.
- Completion of at least one prior internship or work term in a business or HR-related role.
- Proficiency with MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
- The role is based on-site in Dieppe, New Brunswick, or Toronto, Ontario.
- Co-op fee reimbursement is available for eligible students.
