About the role#
The People Services Co-op supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Service Centre. You will provide client-focused support to employees and leaders through our case management and telephone systems. This role involves managing HR processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring our systems and procedures run efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming HR cases, calls, and requests.
- Provide accurate and timely responses regarding HR processes, learning, and company policies.
- Manage the full case management process, from opening cases to escalation and final resolution.
- Process transactions such as new hires, personal data changes, and salary adjustments while following established protocols.
- Maintain contact with clients until their request is resolved.
- Audit HRIS data to ensure accuracy and support the onboarding process for new employees.
- Assist Operational HR with the maintenance and filing of electronic employee records.
- Educate employees and managers on company tools and practices to help them resolve questions independently.
- Document all inquiries according to protocol and perform various HR tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of HR principles, including policies, employee lifecycle processes, and basic employment concepts.
- Proficiency in speaking, writing, and comprehending English.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear oral and written expression.
- Ability to manage time effectively, organize tasks, and analyze information.
- Familiarity with privacy legislation and its implications for handling HR data.
- A commitment to quality and the ability to multi-task in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- This is a full-time, on-site role.
- The hourly pay range for this position is $20.19 to $31.73.
- This is a rolling term position.
