About the role#
This is a full-time student position within the Pulp & Paper Division. You will join our Business Intelligence team in Saint John, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2027 term. The primary focus of this role is to support our business intelligence modernization initiative by migrating existing reporting solutions from Tableau to Power BI.
What you'll do#
- Analyze existing Tableau dashboards to understand business requirements and data structures.
- Assist in migrating dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions to Power BI.
- Create and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Document business logic, calculations, data sources, and reporting requirements.
- Validate migrated reports to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with business users to gather feedback and incorporate improvements.
- Support data quality analysis and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist with dashboard testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving reporting and analytics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis concepts.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, data modeling, ETL processes, and working with large datasets.
