About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in either Van Buren or Monroe, Ohio. The role requires a commitment of 20-25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
You will support customers with transportation and logistics services while learning basic management principles. Your daily tasks include:
- Planning freight and managing asset utilization.
- Assisting with safety management and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
- Handling driver payroll and supervision.
- Coordinating maintenance and analyzing logistics operations.
- Monitoring profit-and-loss management and Customer Value Delivery.
- Learning about industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Completing account-specific duties and other assigned responsibilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility in your work hours.
