About the role#
As a Student Associate on the Logistics Sales team, you will track shipments throughout their lifecycle. You will use our technology systems to ensure complete visibility for customers. This role involves maintaining data integrity, updating customer portals, and supporting the team with daily shipment management. You will work in an office environment in Reno, Nevada.
What you'll do#
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers using our technology systems.
- Ensure 100% visibility of shipment status.
- Review and maintain shipment records to keep data accurate.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide proactive shipment updates.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with facilities.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Collect and verify shipment paperwork like bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Organize team documents and files related to schedules and customer service.
- Update Standard Operating Procedures and internal processes.
- Collaborate with team members to meet goals and deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Availability to work 20-29 hours per week.
- Interest in logistics, supply chain management, or customer service.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency with technology and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your time independently.
- A positive attitude and high energy.
Location & details#
- Location: Reno, Nevada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: We can work with your school schedule, though we prefer availability earlier in the day, such as three days a week from 7am to 1pm.
- Training: You will participate in a one-week training program to learn our systems, shipment tracking tools, and customer service procedures. You will also be paired with a senior team member for mentorship.
