About the role#
ITT Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Intern for the summer of 2027. Based in Valencia, California, this full-time role provides hands-on experience in supply chain operations within an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will work with the market intelligence team and gain exposure to supplier management, data analytics, and strategic planning through mentorship and project work.
What you'll do#
- Quote parts and contact suppliers while building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Track spend and usage, analyze trends, and propose improvements.
- Monitor metrics to improve supplier performance.
- Identify value creation opportunities and evaluate industry trends.
- Conduct market assessments and competitor product reviews.
- Support the development of proprietary database tools.
- Research and update supply chain databases to respond to market disruptions.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and create SOPs for data analytics.
- Complete ad hoc reports and projects tailored to your skill set.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior standing at an accredited college pursuing a business-related degree.
- Preference for majors in Supply Chain Management or Data Science. Enrollment in a strategy or market research-oriented MBA program is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to model and interpret large datasets.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
